Hellooo, and welcome to the new Sweet Madeleine. It’s a little fresher, a little sleeker, and way easier to navigate. My brother has been a wizard when it comes to everything computer and Internet related ever since he began devoting hours a day to hogging our dial-up modem in the late 90’s, and so when he offered to help me change things up a bit, I jumped at the chance.
He has worked tirelessly to transfer everything over from the old site and helped me come up with a better system for categorizing posts (Things with things! Seven categories instead of 39! You might be able to actually FIND the posts you are looking for!) and put up with my bewildered answers to basic questions about the tech side of the blog.
Him: Who hosts your site?
Me: Um. Sweet Madeleine
Him: No, that’s your domain. Who hosts it?
Me: ….
Him: Never mind. Just give me all your passwords)
So, in summation – I hope you like it! New year, new look – thank you, Liam!
The basics are the same – pages are arranged by topic at the top of the site, the search bar, archives, and posts organized by category are to your right, and buttons to share or comment appear at the bottom of each post.
I hope you like the new digs, the delicate scripty header, the pink-accented delights, and the neatly arranged systems-upon-systems. There are a few more updates in the works, and we’ll be fine-tuning everything and addressing any issues that pop up within the next few days, so please bear with me, and let me know if anything looks wonky for you.
xo
Madeleine

Beautiful! Proud of you both! one thing – maybe it’s my old tired eyes but the pink print is very pale. Actually all the print except the actual text is pretty faint. ie where to fill in email stuff, the “subscribe” button – does it look that way to you or is it just me?
Hmm…try adjusting the contrast on your monitor? I will skype you 🙂
Looks great do not change a thing
Thanks, Jackie!
Very sweet! I like it! I might check out some other categories now. I found your site when pregnant last year (and read through every pregnancy update post in one night)
The pink is preachy on my windows phone, but dark enough to read
I’m so glad! Thanks Jennifer, for the feedback 🙂
Love it! Looks fresh and shiny and happy and… dare I say: Spring-like? Is it spring yet?
Lovely. I’m glad Gus managed to get his own category. That’s rare for a post-baby dog!
