Environag!

If any of you have made resolutions (New Year’s or otherwise) to become more eco conscious, here are some posts that I have written over the years that you might find helpful:

  • How to make your own laundry soap that works like a hot damn and won’t leave you smelling like a chemical shitstorm
  • Stop buying shampoo and conditioner! Make your own! I promise you won’t look gross!
  • Natural oils as moisturizers
  • This list I made for Skinny Scoop about small changes you can make that might make you look crazy but will also SAVE THE PLANET. NBD.

I am a giver. Never forget that.

Hi Madeleine! I am planning to try out your homemade shampoo and conditioner formulas. Just wondering what “paraphernalia” you use to make it up in the bathroom? Am a huge fan of your blog, by the by! My 8-month old son, Edward and I send big birthday squishes to you from England! X

Hi, Vicky! I’m so excited that you’re going to give it a try! As for paraphernalia, I marked the 1 cup line on two glass jars and I keep them in my bathroom, along with a box if baking soda and a bottle of ACV stashed in a cupboard. When it’s shower time I measure out the baking soda and ACV into the jars, then fill with shower water when I’m ready to shampoo.

Please report back after you try it- I’d love to know what you think! Someone recently told me you can use lemon juice instead of ACV, so if the smell bugs you that’s an alternative 🙂

Love to you and your little Edward!

Hi Madeleine! Just reporting back on the un-pooing. Well, so far, so good! It’s been two months and my hair feels healthier, and looks shinier. I’ve also been using coconut oil once a week and it’s lovely! Only wish I didn’t live in such a hard water area… Thank you for your blog 🙂 xxx
